| A section including several villi and a detached chorionic duct (Ch. D.). The latter extends through 20 sections and its lumen is continuous at both ends with the intervillous space. Strands of angioblastic cells are visible in the mesodermal cores of the villi. A large blood sinus (Bl. Sin.) is situated close to the ovum. Section 166. | |
